Clinically, it is used in treating deficiency of body and blood, cold limbs and weak pulse, deficiency of spleen with little food, asthma and cough of lung, thirst due to injury of body fluid, internal heat and thirst (internal fever accompanied with symptoms such as eating more, drinking more and urinating more), deficiency of qi and blood, deficiency of long-time illness, palpitation and insomnia, impotence and coldness of uterus, etc. It is not suitable to be combined with fenugreek. Ginseng should not be used together with quatrefoil and wulingzhi.
