The incidence of kidney cancer is relatively low, but kidney cancer is immunogenic, and immunotherapy is traditionally applied with better effect. For kidney cancer immunotherapy, the main drugs applied at present are PD-1 antibody and CTLA-4 monoclonal antibody, and the best effect is PD-1 antibody. For kidney cancer patients who have failed targeted therapy, the application of PD-1 monoclonal antibody still shows effect in 25% of them, and most of these patients can survive for a long time. Immunotherapy for kidney cancer now advocates combination immunotherapy. At present, the combination of PD-1 antibody and epilimumab has good effect in treating kidney cancer, and the efficiency rate of patients reaches 40%. Also PD-1 antibodies can be combined with anti-angiogenic drugs, and the efficiency can be increased to 50%-60%. Recent studies have shown that the combination of PD-1 antibodies and immune cells can make the efficiency of patients reach 70%, so the efficiency of immunotherapy for kidney cancer is gradually increasing.
