There are two types of otologic treatment for diseases: 1) otologic diseases and 2) surgical diseases. Internal otology mostly treats diseases mainly with injections and medications, such as external ear boils, otitis externa, otitis media, mastoiditis, labyrinthitis, including tympanic membrane perforation, vertigo and hearing loss caused by traumatic injury. If there is also sensorineural deafness, Meniere’s disease, inner ear vertigo, otoliths, etc., they all belong to otolaryngology. Ear surgery is mainly surgical, such as trauma to the ear, mastoid surgery of the middle ear, tympanic membrane repair, treatment of cholesteatoma of the external ear canal or middle ear, and surgical treatment of vertigo symptoms.
