Limited emphysema does not heal on its own; it is an irreversible pathological state of the lungs. Limited emphysema is a pathological change in the localized lung lobules due to recurrent chronic bronchitis. It is a pathological condition in which the alveoli have decreased elastic retraction, the ventilation and air exchange of the lungs are limited, and the amount of residual air in the lungs increases. The disease tends to occur in young people and is easily recurring, and may be triggered by long-term smoking or long-term exposure to dusty environments. Limited emphysema is usually detected by CT examination and does not have obvious clinical symptoms. If there are no symptoms, the disease does not even require drug treatment, and clinical observation is sufficient. If it is accompanied by clinical symptoms such as cough, sputum and dyspnea, prompt treatment such as oxygen, anti-inflammatory, sputum and wheezing should be given, and if necessary, thoracoscopic treatment can be performed. Patients with limited emphysema should usually pay attention to avoiding cold and flu, and need to quit smoking and maintain a good living condition.
