Bone scan is a common term for bone imaging, which is one of the common tests in nuclear medicine. It is a method to detect morphological or metabolic abnormalities of bone tissue by radionuclide, including bone whole body imaging, local bone planar imaging, bone triphasic imaging, bone tomography imaging, bone SPECT imaging and F18 positron bone imaging. During the examination, a bone imaging agent is injected, and after the bone is fully absorbed, a radioactive imaging instrument is used to detect the distribution of radioactivity in the whole bone, reflecting abnormal absorption in the bone tissue, such as abnormal concentration or thinning.
