Liver function abnormalities and elevated transaminases are found, which need to be considered as physiological causes and pathologic causes such as viral hepatitis, alcoholic liver disease, and drug-related liver injury. It is recommended that patients go to the hospital in time to clarify the cause of the disease and carry out treatment under the guidance of doctors.
1. Physiological reasons: If patients stay up late for a long time, it will lead to body fatigue and increased burden on the liver. Body energy is mainly provided by the liver, prolonged staying up late will lead to an increase in energy demand, the liver produces too much ATP, which will make the liver overburdened and elevate transaminases.
2. Pathologic causes:
(1) Viral hepatitis: viral hepatitis is mainly transmitted through blood, fecal-oral, sexual intercourse as well as mother-infant route, which leads to abnormal liver function, elevated aminotransferases, elevated bilirubin and other phenomena, and in severe cases, scleral yellow staining may also occur.
(2) Alcoholic Liver Disease: If the patient has been drinking a lot of alcohol for a long time, the excess ethanol may lead to abnormalities in the redox state of the liver, resulting in liver damage. This condition will also cause the patient to have abnormal liver function, elevated transaminases as well as chills, fever, abdominal pain and other symptoms.
(3) Pharmacological liver injury: if the liver cells of patients are affected by drugs for a long time, cell damage, cholestasis and other symptoms may occur. And cell damage usually leads to abnormal transaminases, weakness, loss of appetite and other phenomena.
