Ultrasound of the uterine adnexa without abnormalities generally means that ultrasound examination does not reveal any obvious occupying lesions in the uterus or ovaries, but relatively mild inflammation may not be diagnosed by ultrasound, and sometimes a combination of palpation and internal examination by the clinician is needed for a comprehensive diagnosis. Abdominal ultrasound examination is advantageous for occupying lesions and organic lesions of the uterine adnexa. In addition, for more serious inflammatory diseases, or endometriosis or adenomyosis, abdominal ultrasound can also diagnose them. However, for milder inflammatory diseases, the significance of applying ultrasound for diagnosis is not particularly clear.
