HIV carriers refer to patients who, after being infected with AIDS, do not have obvious symptoms because their CD4+ T-lymphocyte counts remain relatively high, although the HIV virus continues to replicate in the body. In fact, during this period, the virus continues to replicate in the infected person’s body, and the CD4+ T-lymphocyte count will then continue to drop and eventually enter the AIDS stage. This period should also be treated promptly by taking antiviral drugs to inhibit the replication of the virus, so that the patient’s CD4+ T-lymphocyte count can be maintained at a level close to normal and avoid progressing to the AIDS stage.
