What factors are associated with the prognosis of lupus nephritis

With the improvement of treatment measures, the long-term prognosis of lupus nephritis is now significantly improved and the human renal survival rate is high. The main factors affecting long-term human survival depend on infections and cardiovascular system complications. In particular, cardiovascular endpoint events (such as myocardial infarction and stroke) and pulmonary hypertension are important determinants of long-term prognosis. In fact, other factors affecting vascular factors include hypertension, proteinuria, infections, nephrotoxic drugs and obesity. Therefore, controlling blood pressure, avoiding infections, improving lipid metabolism disorders and protecting cardiac function are important factors to improve the long-term prognosis.
