  Melasma is a common hyperpigmented skin disease, which can be aggravated by season, sun exposure, exertion, tension, or certain diseases and certain drugs. Therefore, patients should avoid sun exposure, stop taking oral contraceptives and not using scented cosmetics, and should be treated thoroughly in time if they have internal diseases.  Commonly used effective drugs and methods for melasma are as follows: 1. Take vitamin c orally, 200 mg each time, 3 times a day; vitamin e, 100 mg a day. Generally take medicine for more than one month, it can reduce chloasma caused by sunburn and so on.  2.When going out, you can apply shading agents, such as para-aminobenzoic acid and its esters, all of which should be used to prevent the occurrence of allergic reactions.  3.Topical corticosteroids, strong preparations, such as clobetasol, can be used 1-2 times a day. However, long-term use is prone to side effects, local skin atrophy and capillary dilation may occur. Or medium-acting corticosteroid preparations, such as hydrocortisone butyrate (trade name Yuzor) treatment, side effects are less.  4, topical use of vincristine cream (trade name VITAMIN), 1-2 times a day, there is a decolorization effect, the cream should start with a low concentration (0.025%). Then gradually increase the concentration. Side effects are dry, flaky skin and some irritation. This drug is mostly used in combination with other depigmenting agents, such as compound veraic acid cream (trade name Xuefu), in addition to containing veraic acid, plus arbutin, both can inhibit the activity of tyrosinase, reducing the production of melanin. In order to improve the efficacy and reduce side effects, corticosteroid preparations can be added to the above-mentioned combination, and the maximum effect can be produced by topical application twice a day.  5.Topical application of other depigmenting agents, such as 20% azelaic acid cream or 1%-3% tretinoin cream.  6, for pigment in the deeper dermal layer of the skin, the effect of simple external decolorant is not significant, can be used to chemical peeling methods, such as 20%-70% fruit acid or 3% trichloroacetic acid. The high concentration of fruit acid has certain irritation to the skin. If trichloroacetic acid is used, the face should be cleaned and degreased with ether when peeling, and after applying trichloroacetic acid, it should be kept for 1-2 minutes, washed thoroughly with cold water, and then 1% hydrocortisone ointment should be applied. After exfoliation, the skin appears erythematous and flaky. During this period, the face should be washed 2-3 times a day and the exfoliated epithelium should be removed by applying ointment. Once the wound is healed, it can be combined with depigmentation agents to prevent pigmentation 7, Chinese medicine, Chinese medicine on facial pigmentation, mostly considered to be liver qi stagnation, liver and kidney yin deficiency or qi and blood imbalance, or siltation, so it is appropriate to nourish yin, tonify the kidney, harmonize qi and blood, activate blood to resolve siltation as the principle. The clinical practice is to dredge the liver and invigorate the blood with the addition and subtraction of Peach and Red Four Elements Tang.
