When the anesthesia fails or the patient wakes up from general anesthesia, the patient may experience pain at the surgical site due to the damage caused by the surgery and postoperative swelling. Generally, the anesthesiologist will give the patient an intravenous pain pump after the surgery, which can significantly reduce the patient’s postoperative pain symptoms, usually for 24-48 hours, and the clinician will also give postoperative analgesic treatment. After comprehensive analgesia, the patient’s postoperative pain symptoms are mild or basically pain-free for 3 days, and after 3 days, there will be mild pain at the surgical site, but it can be completely tolerated.
