Can immune system disorders be cured?

Immune system disorders are not necessarily curable. Mild immune system disorders can be cured, while severe immune system disorders cannot be cured yet. Immune system dysfunction includes immune hyperfunction and immune hypofunction. Mild immune dysfunction may be cured by certain treatment means, while severe immune dysfunction cannot be cured by current treatment means. Diseases characterized by hyperimmunity include autoimmune diseases such as systemic lupus erythematosus, progressive sclerosis, dry syndrome, rheumatoid arthritis, etc. Most of these autoimmune diseases are caused by genetic, environmental, infectious and other factors that result in immune system dysfunction, and immune system dysfunction leads to production of autoantibodies in the human body. Most of these autoimmune diseases lack an effective cure, but timely and standardized treatment can generally improve the prognosis, control the progression of the disease or alleviate the symptoms. It is recommended that patients with immune system disorders go to the rheumatology and immunology departments of regular hospitals for detailed consultation and treatment as prescribed by the doctor.
