Chinese medicine treatment for chronic gastritis

       Chronic gastritis is a chronic inflammatory or atrophic lesion of the gastric mucosa caused by different etiologies. It is the category of “gastric pain” and “gastric gangrene” in Chinese medicine. The disease is mostly due to emotional disorders, qi stagnation, or due to dietary injuries, stomach loss and descent, or spleen and stomach weakness, the onset of abnormal transport, or due to prolonged disease, the blood does not run smoothly, and the onset of the ligament.  1. General treatment 1. Spiritual and psychological treatment: help patients adjust their mental mood and establish a positive and healthy attitude towards life.  2, diet therapy: choose easily digestible, non-stimulating food, avoid smoking, alcohol, coffee, strong tea, chew and swallow slowly.  Chinese medicine dialectical treatment (1) liver and stomach disharmony: dredge the liver and regulate qi, harmonize the stomach and relieve pain. Representative formula: Chai Hu Dredging Liver San plus reduction.  Chai Hu 10g, Bai Shao 20g, Citrus Aurantium 10g, Chuan Xiong 6g, Xiang Fu 10g, Chen Pi 10g, Buddha’s Hand 10g, Su Stem 10g, Yan Hu Suo 10g, Glycyrrhiza Glabra 6g. Proprietary Chinese medicine: granules for gas stagnation and stomachache, 6g once, 3 times a day.  (2) Weakness of spleen and stomach: warming the middle and strengthening the spleen, benefiting qi and harmonizing the stomach. Representative formulas: Xiang Sha Liu Jun Zi Tang and Huang Qi Jian Zhong Tang with Addition 20g of Radix Codonopsis, 10g of Poria, 10g of Fried Atractylodes, 6g of Pericarpium Citri Reticulatae, 6g of Magnolia, 3g of Radix Astragali, 20g of Radix Astragali, 10g of Osmanthus, 30g of Radix Paeoniae Alba, 6g of ginger, 10g of roasted licorice. Chinese herbal medicine: Xiang Sha Liu Jun Zi Wan 3g, 3 times/day.  (3) Damp-heat in the spleen and stomach: clearing heat, resolving dampness, harmonizing the stomach and awakening the spleen. Representative formula: Huanglian Wenzhi Tang with addition and subtraction.  Huang Lian 6g, Scutellaria baicalensis 10g, Bai Kou Ren 6g, Pu Gong Ying 30g, Sheng Coix Seed 30, Fa Han Xia 12g, Fu Ling 10g, Hou Pu 12g, Chen Pi 12g, Citrus aurantium 10g, Zhu Ru 6g, Gardenia 10g, Atractylodes macrocephala 10g, Glycyrrhiza glabra 6g. Chinese herbal medicine: Moro Dan 9g 3 times/day.  (4) Stomach Yin deficiency: nourishing Yin, benefiting the stomach, harmonizing the luo and relieving pain. Representative formula: Consistent Decoction and Paeoniae and Glycyrrhizae Soup with addition and subtraction.  Bei Sha Shen 12g, Prince’s Ginseng 15g, Mai Dong 15g, Sheng Di 10g, Gardenia 10g, Angelica 10g, Jin Ling Zi 10g, Bai Shao 20g, Licorice 6g, Chicken Nei Jin 10g, Yu Zhu 15g, Snake Tongue Herb 15g, Half Branch Lotus 15g. (5) Stasis in the stomach ligament: activating blood circulation, resolving stasis, moving Qi to relieve pain. Representative formula: Lost Smile San and Dan Shen Drink plus reduction.  (10g) Wu Ling Liao, 10g of Sandalwood (later down), 20g of Dan Shen, 6g of Sandalwood, 5g of Panax ginseng powder (punch), 12g of Yan Hu Suo, 6g of Pu Huang, 10g of Yu Jin, 10g of Citrus aurantium shell, 10g of Fried Curcuma longa. (6) Spleen deficiency and Qi stagnation: Strengthening the spleen, benefiting Qi, regulating Qi and eliminating distention.
