Cervical Cancer Favors Which Groups of People

It is not appropriate to say that “cervical cancer favors certain kinds of people”, but there are some risk factors or causative factors that make people more susceptible to the disease, such as sexual life factors, disease factors, childbirth factors and so on.

1. Sexual life factors. The occurrence of cervical cancer is related to human papillomavirus (HPV) infection, so early sexual life, having multiple sexual partners, having sex with high-risk men, etc. can lead to trauma, stimulation and infection of the cervix, which can trigger the disease.

High-risk men include those who have suffered from condyloma acuminatum, gonorrhea, genital herpes, penile cancer and other diseases.

2. Disease factors. Diseases such as cervical polyps, cervical warts, chronic inflammation of the uterus have certain risk of malignant changes, so women with chronic uterine diseases have a greater risk of cervical cancer.

3. Labor and delivery factors. Including multiple vaginal deliveries, early deliveries, multiple abortions, perinatal and bad delivery process, all of them are prone to abnormal hyperplasia due to localized stimulation of the cervix, and thus cervical cancer occurs.

After the cervix has been damaged and stimulated for many times, the chances of invasion of pathogens will increase, and abnormal hyperplasia will be more likely to occur in the process of self-repair.

4. Bad life habits. For example, women with long-term smoking habit are at greater risk of developing cervical cancer.

It is recommended that the corresponding group of people should actively treat the primary disease, have regular checkups and physical examinations, develop good living habits, and consult the doctor in time after the appearance of some abnormal manifestations, so as to achieve early diagnosis and early treatment of the disease.
