What are the clinical manifestations of breast cancer lung metastasis?

Early stage of breast cancer lung metastasis may have no obvious manifestations, and with the progress of metastatic foci, clinical manifestations such as cough, hemoptysis and pleural effusion may appear.
1. Early stage of breast cancer lung metastasis: generally there are no obvious symptoms and signs, only isolated or multiple nodules in the lungs can be found in chest CT and other imaging examinations.
2. Invasion of lung tissues and bronchial tubes: there may be dry cough, blood in sputum, and other symptoms, and the growth of metastatic foci to the bronchial tubes may lead to partial obstruction of airways, shortness of breath, wheezing and so on.
3. Extensive lung metastasis: extensive lung metastasis will lead to respiratory dysfunction, chest tightness, wheezing and other signs and symptoms of respiratory distress.
4. Invasion of pleura: symptoms of chest pain may occur, resulting in pleural effusion and chest tightness.
5. Compression of surrounding tissues: compression of esophagus by metastatic foci will lead to difficulty in swallowing, compression of recurrent laryngeal nerve will lead to hoarseness.
It is recommended that breast cancer patients should consult the doctor for examination in time if the above symptoms occur, and should follow the doctor’s instruction in time if lung metastasis is diagnosed.
