Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease treatment consists of two aspects. One is medication, and the best is to use some inhaled medications. Inhaled medications include inhaled glucocorticoids, long-acting beta2 agonists, and anticholinergic drugs. For non-pharmacological treatment: First, home oxygen therapy can be used. Second, pulmonary rehabilitation exercises. The rehabilitation includes: 1) smoking cessation; 2) physical exercise; 3) influenza vaccination or pneumonia vaccination to prevent recurrent co-infection of COPD. Thirdly, non-invasive ventilator assisted ventilation can be used at home. Fourth, is the surgical treatment.
