Vinegar is generally not a disinfectant. Vinegar is only a kind of foodstuff, in disinfection effect is relatively weak, generally can not effectively inactivate some bacteria, fungi or viruses, so the use of vinegar for disinfection and sterilization is unreliable. Moreover, vinegar contains a large amount of acetic acid, which may cause adverse reactions if not used properly. No matter white vinegar or black vinegar, the killing effect on various pathogenic bacteria or microorganisms is not very strong, so for disinfection, it is generally recommended to use 75% alcohol or use chlorine-containing disinfectant, which can successfully inactivate the bacteria as well as viruses, and is a commonly used disinfectant. Vinegar cannot be used for disinfection and is generally not recommended for blind use. If you are disinfecting a room, you also need to open the windows to ventilate the room after disinfecting to avoid discomfort.
