If an infant falls from a sofa of half height and the back of the head lands on the ground without crying, there is no serious injury; if the height of the sofa is more than half of the infant’s height, it may lead to intracranial hematoma with headache, nausea, vomiting and neck straightening. In addition, if the infant shows signs of irritability and vomiting after the fall, he/she should go to the hospital for CT examination as soon as possible to exclude the occurrence of intracranial hematoma to avoid adverse consequences.
