Can sex affect rabies vaccine efficacy?

Sex does not usually affect the efficacy of the rabies vaccine, and a good protection can be obtained after a full course of rabies vaccination. Rabies vaccine is a vaccine used to prevent rabies before and after exposure or suspected exposure to the rabies virus. Effective prevention of rabies virus infection requires a full, standardized program of rabies vaccination, which is currently administered in a five-dose regimen, i.e., five doses are required. The efficacy of the drug produced is usually independent of whether or not the vaccinated person is sexually active. After the rabies vaccination, there may be some fever, redness, swelling and pain at the vaccination site and other adverse reactions, and attention should be paid to the vaccination site to avoid getting wet to prevent infection. Do not exert force on the vaccinated arm for a short period of time (avoid strenuous exercise) to prevent aggravation of pain.
