Tinidazole for Trichomonas is taken as 2g in a single oral dose.
Trichomonas can infect the vulva, urethra, paraurethral glands and other parts of the human body, as well as the vagina in women, leading to corresponding diseases. Its causative agent is Trichomonas vaginalis, which can be treated with nitroimidazole antibiotics. These include tinidazole, which is administered as 2g in a single oral dose.
Trichomonas infection needs to be followed up and observed after treatment; if treatment fails, tinidazole, 2g, single oral dose can be repeated; if treatment fails again, tinidazole, 2g, once a day for 5 days can be used.
The drug should be taken under the supervision of a clinician to avoid adverse reactions. Breastfeeding women should avoid breastfeeding for 3 days after using the drug; pregnant women should avoid using tinidazole for the treatment of trichomoniasis.
