Fusidic acid cream harm

The hazards of fusidic acid cream generally refer to the possible adverse reactions that may occur with its use. Routinely used topically as directed, there are generally no adverse reactions, occasional mild irritation, treatment of deep leg ulcers may be accompanied by pain but usually no discontinuation is necessary, and rare allergic reactions. The active ingredient in fusidic acid cream is fusidic acid, which has an irritating effect on the conjunctiva of the eye and should be avoided around the eyes. When treating severe skin infections or intractable skin diseases, systemic administration of antibiotics should be supplemented. In case of severe irritation or allergic reactions, the medication should be discontinued and replaced with other suitable medication. Fusidic acid has been shown to cross the placental barrier and be secreted into breast milk after absorption, so it should be used with caution in pregnant and lactating women.
