Is uterine polypoid hyperplasia serious?

Whether the polyp-like growth is serious or not, we need to get it out and do pathological tests to find out. In this case, surgery is needed, either diagnostic curettage or hysteroscopy to get the polyp out under the hysteroscope. Diagnostic curettage can be done on an outpatient basis and is not as accurate as hysteroscopy. If a hysteroscopy is performed, the polyp-like tissue can be seen directly in the uterine cavity and removed for pathology. If the pathology is simple hyperplasia, it is not very serious. If it is complex hyperplasia, it should be considered as a bad disease, and about 3% of patients with complex hyperplasia can develop endometrial cancer.
