Can sulcus vocalis be cured?

Patient: congenital, examined. Don’t be hoarse. Xu Wen, Department of Otolaryngology, Beijing Tongren Hospital: Vocal fold sulcus diagnosis and treatment is relatively complicated. Most of the simple vocal fold sulcus is due to dysplasia of the vocal fold lamina propria, which is mainly manifested as hoarseness with articulation fatigue from adolescence onwards, and the degree of hoarseness and laryngoscopic performance varies depending on the type of disease. The degree of hoarseness and laryngoscopic manifestations vary depending on the type of disease. Treatment also varies according to the different staging, hoarseness grading, stroboscopic manifestations, and the patient’s vocal needs (see our related papers and articles). For more severe staging, we currently treat with vocal fold sutures or autologous fascial fillers.
