Psoriasis Precautions

Psoriasis, commonly known as psoriasis, is a chronic inflammatory skin disease with clinical manifestations of erythema and scaling that can develop all over the body, with the scalp and extremities more common. The disease has a long course, with a tendency to recur, and some cases are almost lifelong. Infection, trauma, heredity, certain drugs, mental factors, diet, alcoholism, smoking, endocrine changes and climate can all stimulate or aggravate psoriasis and seriously affect the natural course of the disease. Strengthening exercise, enhancing physical fitness and good habits can effectively prevent psoriasis recurrence and help improve the therapeutic effect of psoriasis. Diet: quit smoking and drinking, avoid spicy food, and eat seafood in moderation. Smoking and alcohol consumption are risk factors for psoriasis. Some reports show that psoriasis has a great relationship with smoking habits, and the severity of the disease is positively related to the number of cigarettes; it is generally believed that drinking alcohol can aggravate the disease, and certain foods beef and mutton, sea fish have been proved to contain more arachidonic acid and affect the recovery of psoriasis, which can be moderately contraindicated in the acute period; the chronic period can be moderately ingested to avoid overeating, which is not absolutely contraindicated. Spiritual aspect: some patients learn that they are suffering from psoriasis, very anxious, pessimistic, painful, like an incurable disease, in fact, the spiritual factors play a very important role in the onset of common psoriasis, it can aggravate the clinical manifestations of psoriasis through various mechanisms. The main mental factors include work tension, excessive fatigue, staying up late, mental depression, environmental changes, examinations, unemployment, etc. Maintain an optimistic and calm state of mind, a good mood and living condition is conducive to the improvement of clinical symptoms of psoriasis patients. Trauma: Avoid trauma. Trauma mainly includes skin damage, body trauma and mosquito bites. Trauma on normal skin may induce psoriasis lesions, i.e., isomorphic reaction. About 90% of the reported skin areas after the injury has healed produce psoriasis. Current research by foreign scholars has found that trauma can cause proliferation of keratin-forming cells, and proliferating keratin-forming cells cells can induce synthesis of neurogenerative factor (NGF), which can induce activation of T lymphocytes, thus aggravating psoriasis. Infection: Pay attention to weather changes, keep warm and damp, and try to avoid colds. Especially in children, infection is one of the main risk factors for psoriasis, mainly including bacterial and viral infections of the main upper respiratory tract such as pharyngitis, tonsillitis and colds, as well as bacterial and fungal infections of the skin surface. Environmental aspects: maintain a dry living environment. Dampness is an important predisposing factor for the development of psoriasis, and a study [4] showed that 22.5% of patients had a significant relationship with low dampness. Due to long-term dampness in the environment, especially underwater work, the skin is easily impregnated and eroded, and it is easy for a large number of bacteria to multiply and cause skin infections and morbidity. Dear sufferers, the above are the precautions in the life of psoriasis patients, I hope you read them carefully, enhance self-knowledge and protection, do not be afraid, do a tenacious struggle with psoriasis, defeat the disease is the winner!
