After the root canal is completed, it should not actually be considered the end of treatment in clinical practice, as the patient will still have to use the tooth at home. Usually the doctor needs to instruct the patient to avoid biting on hard foods. This is because all teeth after root canal treatment are brittle and can split easily. For daily diet, rice and noodles are recommended. Hard foods such as ribs or hard dried fruit skins, and gay men who like to chew on beer bottle caps need to avoid the above behaviors. Regular review, because for patients with pulpitis and periapical inflammation, after root canal treatment is not considered as the end of treatment, if before the treatment of periapical inflammation, X-rays have been taken to show that there is bone destruction, regular review is needed. We recommend that you follow your doctor’s instructions and go to the hospital every 1 month, 3 months, or 6 months for a review. We recommend that you tell the doctor if you feel uncomfortable and take an X-ray to see if there are any changes inside the tooth, if the filling material is still there, and if the bone destruction seen on the previous X-ray has recovered further. It is recommended to take protective measures and observe the tooth after root canal treatment for 1-2 weeks, if there are no uncomfortable symptoms, a crown or inlay restoration can be made to protect the tooth so that it may be more comfortable when eating slightly harder food than rice or noodles. Some of the affected teeth split below 3mm below the gingival level, the current medical technology may not be able to continue the restoration, and can only be extracted, if so, the treatment will be abandoned before.
