In this formula, Atractylodes macrocephala and Semen Coicis strengthen the spleen and seep away dampness; Fenghuang, Duhui and Qiangwu dispel wind and win dampness; Ephedra, Chuanwu, Cinnamon sticks and Ginger remove dampness and relieve pain, warm the meridians and dissipate cold (warm the meridians of the human body and dispel the cold in the body), and clear the channels to search for wind; Ligusticum Chuanxiong and Angelica sinensis are pungent and warm and promote the circulation of qi and blood; Licorice invigorates the spleen and harmonizes the middle.
