If the patient has cold palms and feet, it needs to be identified from both Chinese medicine and Western medicine. If from the perspective of Chinese medicine, it is usually the deficiency of the human body, which is often due to kidney, spleen, qi and blood deficiencies that lead to cold palms and feet. From the perspective of Western medicine, there are usually several factors: First, the most common factor is endocrine and metabolic dysfunction, which leads to a decrease in heat production and an increase in heat dissipation, for example, hypothyroidism and hypoadrenocorticism, which can lead to cold palms and feet. Secondly, in severe cases of infection, such as septic shock and infectious shock, there will be cool and moist skin temperature of the extremities, rapid pulse, inability to measure blood pressure, decreased urine output, and blurred mental consciousness. Third, cardiovascular and cerebrovascular blood supply insufficiency of the large arteries, but also due to insufficient peripheral blood supply will lead to the clinical response of cold palms and feet.
