Can you take Zhongzhong Yiqi Pill and Gui Spleen Pill together?

Tonify the Middle Jiaozhong Yiqi Pill and Gui Spleen Pill have more of the same drug composition and are not recommended to be taken together.
1. Tonifying the Middle Jiao Qi Pill: It is mainly composed of Chen Pi, Jujube, Astragalus, Radix Astragali, Radix Codonopsis Pilosulae, Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae, Radix Angelicae Sinensis and Radix et Rhizoma Glycyrrhizae, etc. It has the effects of strengthening the spleen and benefiting the qi, and elevating the yang and lifting up the sun (raising and elevating yang qi of the organism to lift the sunken organs).
This medicine can treat diarrhea, loss of appetite, abdominal distension, prolapse, and spontaneous sweating (involuntary sweating during the daytime, aggravated by the slightest movement of sweating). The contraindications and adverse effects of this medicine are still unclear; it should be used with caution in cases of yin deficiency with heat.
2. Gui Spleen Pill: It is mainly composed of Codonopsis pilosulae, Astragalus membranaceus, Poria, Mucuna pruriens, Jujubae, Polygala, Atractylodes macrocephala and other medicines, which have the effects of tonifying qi and blood, nourishing the heart and tranquilizing the mind.
This medicine can treat insomnia and excessive dreaming, palpitation, dizziness, blood in stool, and metrorrhagia (excessive or spotting menstrual flow). Adverse effects such as abdominal distension may occur after taking this medicine; the contraindications for its use are not yet clear; please avoid overwork during the period of use.
The above two drugs have similar efficacy and contain more of the same herbs, using them together may result in a risk of overdosage and therefore should not be taken together.
