10 Signs of Alzheimer’s Disease

There are many symptoms of Alzheimer’s disease, mainly cognitive decline as well as loss of limb motor function.
1. Memory loss: This tends to be the most common type of manifestation, and it is also the easiest for family members to detect. They may turn around and forget what they were going to do just now, or forget what they had for dinner the night before.
2. Decline in orientation: it may manifest itself as not knowing where one is and getting lost easily.
3. Decreased concept of time: It is possible that the child does not know what day of the week tomorrow is, and does not know the exact time.
4. Decline in calculation ability: it is possible that they cannot do basic addition and subtraction.
5. Decline in writing ability: may not be able to write his/her name correctly.
6. Decrease in language function: they may not be able to speak fluently in large paragraphs as before, and very often speak in two words and three words.
7. Personality change: Generally speaking, he/she is more withdrawn and easily anxious and depressed.
8. Behavioral changes: there may be involuntary groping of the hands and other corresponding behaviors.
9. Mental changes: there may be drowsiness and lethargy.
10. Decreased judgment: it is easy to have errors in judgment of the most basic common sense.
