Pain on the right side of the chest is usually caused by gallbladder stones and inflammation of the gallbladder. The gallbladder is located in the right upper abdomen, below the rib margin, if the gallbladder stones occur inside the gallbladder, it can lead to recurrent lesions in the mucosa of the gallbladder, forming chronic inflammation. Acute inflammation can be induced by eating greasy food or high protein food. The patient’s pain will be very obvious, in the form of biliary colic, sometimes accompanied by the right side of the back and scapula radiating pain, many people will have nausea, vomiting. On physical examination, the right upper abdomen is obviously painful, and Murphy’s sign is positive. The examination needs to rely on liver and gallbladder ultrasound or CT of the upper abdomen, which can find stones inside the gallbladder or thickening of the gallbladder wall, inflammation, etc. The diagnosis is clear and requires anti-infective treatment. After the diagnosis is made, anti-infective treatment and laparoscopic cholecystectomy are required.
