How to Test Yourself for Emphysema

There is no self-test for emphysema. It is recommended to go to the hospital for X-ray, lung CT, lung function, arterial blood gas analysis and other tests to clarify the diagnosis.
1. X-ray: Emphysema is a pathological state in which the alveoli are damaged, leading to an increase in lung volume, which cannot be measured by oneself. X-ray examination can be performed to clarify the progress of emphysema and to exclude other causes for identification.
2. Lung CT: Lung CT can determine the severity of emphysema, and can also understand the central lobe and whole lobe type of lesions, and can be used to decide whether or not to carry out treatment according to the results of this examination.
3. Others: Patients with emphysema can also undergo tests such as pulmonary function and arterial blood gas analysis.
If emphysema is suspected, or if you feel unwell, it is recommended that you consult a doctor promptly.
