Generally speaking, patients with early stage of cervical cancer will not have obvious abnormal symptoms when they have their period; when the disease progresses, patients may show symptoms such as prolonged period, increased bleeding and frequent menstruation when they have their period. Although patients with cervical cancer may also have vaginal bleeding, it is usually irregular vaginal bleeding and contact bleeding after sexual intercourse. For most of the early stage cervical cancer patients, the disease will not affect the menstrual flow, and the patients’ menstrual cycle and menstrual flow usually will not have obvious changes. However, if the disease progresses to a certain extent, it may cause patients to experience symptoms of irregular menstruation, such as a large increase in the amount of menstruation, prolongation of menstruation period, or shortening of menstruation cycle and production of menstruation more frequently. Usually, patients also have lower abdominal pain, discharge odor and other conditions. Patients are advised to treat the condition without delay so as not to aggravate the condition and affect the prognosis.
