What’s wrong with women who leak urine?

Female urinary leakage is usually a symptom caused by stress incontinence, which may also lead to urinary leakage such as cervical cancer, retroperitoneal tumors, and other surgeries may cause bladder and ureteral injuries and formation of urinary leakage. Clinically, the most common cause of urinary leakage in women is female stress incontinence. The main factor contributing to this condition is damage to the bladder forcing muscle and urethral sphincter during labor and delivery due to oversized and damaged fetal pelvic floor muscles. Also, after menopause, women may experience urinary leakage due to decreased coordination and tone of muscle contractions as a result of lower local estrogen levels, which can be exacerbated by coughing, breath-holding, running, jumping, and laughing in particular. When clinically indicated, urodynamic testing in women can clarify the cause of urinary leakage, whether it is a functional or organic disease. In the case of functional disease, oral medications may be used for symptomatic treatment or maintenance. If organic disease occurs, such as during surgery, both may cause bladder and ureteral injury and form urine leakage, requiring another surgery to treat. If you have symptoms of urine leakage, please go to the urology department of a regular hospital.
