How long to wear contact lenses

Contact lens wearing time is too long can easily lead to dry eyes and other discomforts, try to control the wearing time within 8 hours, the replacement time should be decided according to the type of contact lenses, generally speaking, the shorter the replacement time the better. Contact lenses are a type of eyeglasses that come into direct contact with the cornea. The cornea, in general, has direct contact with the air and can therefore absorb oxygen directly in the air. After wearing contact lenses, especially soft contact lenses, the cornea cannot absorb oxygen well due to the blocking effect of the lenses, so long-term wearers of contact lenses will feel discomfort such as dry eyes. Patients are advised to wear contact lenses for no more than 8 hours a day. Contact lenses with long replacement intervals may have more proteins and other substances that can lead to conjunctivitis and other inflammation of the ocular surface. Patients are recommended to replace their contact lenses regularly according to their intervals of use.
