Rheumatic disease, as defined in Western medicine, is mainly an abbreviation of rheumatic disease, which is defined as a generalized reference to all the group of diseases affecting bones, joints and their surrounding soft tissues, such as tendons, muscles, bursae, fascia, blood vessels, nerves and so on. Clinically, they are categorized into ten major groups containing more than 100 diseases, so rheumatic diseases are a very complex and numerous group of diseases. Their etiology can be infectious, immune, metabolic, tumor-related, endocrine, geo-environmental, hereditary and degenerative, etc. Most patients with rheumatic diseases show multiple system and organ involvement, and most of them respond well to glucocorticosteroid therapy, usually with a chronic course. The prognosis can be improved with early diagnosis and early and rational treatment.
