The description of a bulging disc or dural sac compression is not a serious lesion, but is often found on the imaging report, such as after a patient has had a CT or MRI, and may be found on the imaging report. This is a degenerative change of the spine that may not cause any clinical symptoms in some patients, while in some patients, it may cause spinal cord or nerve root compression, such as localized pain or symptoms related to radiating pain, numbness, or weakness in one limb. Patients with these lesions may not be treated if they are asymptomatic, but they must pay attention to spinal maintenance in the future, such as proper physical exercise and not sitting or standing with their heads down for long periods of time. In most cases, patients with symptoms can be treated conservatively, such as continuous bed rest and traction.
