What is the best formula for spleen and kidney yang deficiency

Clinically, there is no such thing as the best formula for treating spleen and kidney yang deficiency (deficiency of yang qi in the spleen and kidneys). Spleen and kidney yang deficiency should be treated by warming and tonifying the spleen and kidneys, and can be treated with Zhenwu Tang, Si Shen Wan, and Shi Spleen San. 1. Zhenwu Tang: composed of Poria, Paeonia lactiflora, Atractylodes macrocephala, Ginger, Radix et Rhizoma Polygoni Multiflori, etc. It has the effect of warming yang and benefiting water (replenishing the body’s yang qi and promoting the circulation of water and liquid). It is used for treating Yang deficiency of the spleen and kidney and evidence of water-dampness overflow. Symptoms include fear of cold limbs, dysuria, palpitation and restlessness under the heart, dizziness, heaviness and pain in the limbs, swelling, worse below the waist; or abdominal pain, diarrhea; or coughing and vomiting. 2. Si Shen Wan: Composition includes tonic bone resin, Wu Zhu, Wu Wei Zi, nutmeg, etc. It has the effect of warming the kidney and yang, warming the spleen and stopping diarrhea. It is used for treating diarrhea of the fifth day of the week (abdominal pain and desire to defecate before dawn) due to deficiency of yang in the spleen and kidneys. Symptoms include diarrhea at five o’clock, inappetence, indigestion of food or prolonged diarrhea, abdominal pain and warmth, lumbar soreness and coldness of limbs, and fatigue (mental exhaustion and physical weakness). 3. Solid Spleen Bulk: Composition includes thick park, fried white atractylodes, papaya, woodruff, grass nut, dahongzi, cannabis seeds, white poria, dry ginger, roasted licorice, etc. It has the effect of warming yang, strengthening spleen, promoting qi and inducing diuresis. It is used for treating yin-water with deficiency of yang in the spleen and kidney, and internal stagnation of water qi. Symptoms include swelling below the half of the body, lack of warmth in the hands and feet, lack of thirst in the mouth, fullness in the chest and abdomen, and loose stools. The adverse effects of the above formula are not clear. If patients are diagnosed with spleen and kidney yang deficiency, they should cooperate with the doctor for treatment and should not take the medicine on their own to avoid the risk of medication.
