How to self-examine for breast disease?

Self-examination of breast diseases 1. Self-examination in the mirror: face the mirror, cross your arms and observe the shape of the breast. Then, raise your arms above your head and carefully observe whether there is any change in the shape and contour of the mammary glands on both sides, whether there is any redness, rash, superficial venous anger, skin folds, orange peel-like changes and other abnormalities in the skin of the mammary glands, whether the nipples are on the same level, whether there is elevation, retraction, depression, whether there is any discharge from the nipples and whether the color of the areola has changed. Finally, put down both arms, arms crossed, both elbows strive backward, so that the chest muscles tight, observe whether the two sides of the breast is equal and symmetrical. 2, lying down touch method: lying down, right arm raised above the head, and a small pillow under the right shoulder, so that the right breast becomes flat. Put the four fingers of your left hand together and use the palm of your fingers to check if there are lumps or other changes in various parts of the breast. Touch the breast slowly, steadily, and carefully with the three fingers of the right hand (index, middle, and ring fingers), and move the left breast gradually in a cis or contra direction, at least three circles from the periphery of the breast to the nipple. The breast can also be examined in an up-and-down or radial direction, but care should be taken not to miss any part. At the same time, the axillary lymph nodes are checked for enlargement. Finally, the nipple is gently squeezed between the thumb and index finger to see if there is nipple drainage. If cloudy, slightly yellow or bloody overflow is found, seek immediate medical attention. 3. Shower inspection method: When showering, it is easier to detect breast problems because of wet skin. The method is to use the palm of one finger to slowly slide the fingertips and carefully examine the various parts of the breast and armpits for lumps. Women should seek medical attention if they find abnormalities during breast self-examination, so as to achieve early detection, early diagnosis and early treatment.
