Gastric bloating and diarrhea may be caused by physiological factors such as consumption of ice cream, or by pathological factors such as chronic gastritis and ulcerative colitis. They can be relieved and treated by eating a light diet and taking drugs such as omeprazole.
1. Physiological factors: such as overeating, consuming too much ice cream, spicy hot, deep-fried skewers, alcohol, strong tea, coffee and other spicy and stimulating, cold and greasy food, which can cause abdominal pain, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, gastric distension, belching and other symptoms. Can be relieved by a light diet, eat more easily digestible and soft food, such as millet porridge, buns, noodles and so on.
2. Pathologic factors:
(1) Chronic gastritis: it can cause the decrease of stomach’s digestion and absorption of food, thus causing bloating, early satiety, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and other symptoms of indigestion, which can be relieved by taking proton pump inhibitors such as omeprazole, pantoprazole and other gastric mucous membrane protectors such as bismuth potassium citrate and aluminum thioglycollate, thus relieving the symptoms of acid reflux, stomach bloating, nausea and diarrhea.
(2) Ulcerative colitis: diarrhea, abdominal pain, gastric distension, nausea, bloody stools and other symptoms can be treated with immunosuppressants such as salazosulfapyridine, aminosalicylic acid preparations and cyclophosphamide.
Patients with gastric distension and diarrhea are advised to seek timely medical attention for a clear diagnosis and targeted treatment. In addition, the above drugs should be taken under the guidance of a doctor and should not be used without authorization.
