How to home train a child with Tourette’s syndrome

Home training for children with Tourette’s syndrome includes rebuilding confidence, regularity, and distraction.
1. Rebuilding confidence: Parents should first lower their psychological expectations and understand that this is a long-term task. When a child has a tic episode, do not force control and allow the tic symptoms to occur.
Parents and doctors should adopt acceptance, respect and understanding of the child, both in terms of behavioral guidance and cognition, otherwise the symptoms may be easily reinforced by excessive attention.
2. Regular life: Reasonably arrange the daily work and rest time and activities of the child and family members to avoid overstressing and straining the child, which may lead to tic episodes.
3. Divert attention: Encourage the child to do things he or she likes to do, hobbies can divert the child’s attention, thus reducing the attacks of Tourette’s syndrome.
Tourette’s syndrome may also have other causes, it is recommended to go to the hospital in time to improve the examination, give targeted treatment or treatment.
