About the treatment of freckles

A beautiful jade should first be free of blemishes. For the face, even if the facial features are correct, but if there are a lot of freckles, it will make the appearance greatly reduced. However, in reality, many people have freckles in one way or another, and they bother many young men and women. Fortunately, the treatment of freckles is no longer difficult, and the treatment is reliable and complications are rare. Freckles are an autosomal dominant disease that usually appears at the age of 5-6 years and gradually increases with age, more in women than men. It grows mostly on sun-exposed areas and is aggravated by sun exposure, and is often symmetrically distributed, with the face, dorsum of the hand and the extensor side of the forearm being the most common, with the nose and cheeks being the most prominent on the face. Most of the lesions are 1-2 mm rashes, but a few can be as large as several millimeters, round, irregular or polygonal, with varying numbers, scattered without fusion, and light brown to brownish in color. The distribution of these freckles is usually not more than the midline. At present, the safest and most effective treatment methods are Q modulation short pulse laser treatment and intense pulsed light treatment. By using the photothermal effect of laser or intense pulsed light, the freckles absorb high heat in a very short period of time, causing heat necrosis and peeling off. Because there is a color difference between freckles and the surrounding normal skin, and the growth level is relatively shallow, so the treatment purpose can be achieved by choosing relatively low energy, and the damage to the surrounding normal skin is relatively small. Overall, the treatment of freckles is not difficult and reliable, and generally 2-3 times can achieve the treatment purpose. After the treatment, most of the patients will have a mild burning sensation, which usually lasts for a short period of time, along with the deepening of freckles and mild redness and swelling around the freckles. Small bleeding spots may occur during the Q-modulated laser treatment. The freckles usually fall off in the form of thin black scabs in about 5-7 days, usually no more than 2 weeks. A small number of patients may have transient hyperpigmentation or hypopigmentation, which may be related to excessive treatment dose or high skin sensitivity. Therefore, attention should be paid to sun protection after treatment, and measures such as sunscreen and sunshade can be applied as appropriate to reduce the recurrence of lesions and complications.
