Females do not have a prostate.
The female bladder neck has a number of glands and fibrous tissues that share a common origin with the male prostate during embryonic life and are also under endocrine influence and control, known as “prostate-like tissue”, but they do not form a separate organ like the male and have degenerated.
In general, the prostate is a male-specific organ.
