Is an ear temperature of 37.3 normal?

If the measurement method is accurate, an ear temperature of 37.3°C is usually considered a normal body temperature. Generally, in children over the age of three and adults, an ear temperature above 37.7°C is considered to be a fever. Ear temperature measures the temperature near the eardrum, which is measured relatively close to the inside of the body and can roughly reflect the true temperature of the body. However, because many testers cannot operate the ear temperature gun correctly, the measurement results are not very accurate and therefore several repeated measurements are required. The mercury thermometer is currently considered the most accurate method of measuring body temperature, and it is best to take another measurement with the mercury thermometer at the same time.
