Difference between eczema and heat rash in newborns

Neonatal eczema and pyoderma are different in terms of cause, morphology, location and treatment.
1. Causes: Neonatal eczema is usually caused by allergies. Neonatal heat rash is usually caused by inflammation of the sweat glands due to blockage of the sweat glands after the heat.
2. Morphology: neonatal eczema is a red rash in the early stages, and in the later stages, there may be papules, blisters, herpes, breakouts, scabs and even ulcers, i.e., polymorphic rashes, which can appear simultaneously. Neonatal fever rash is a single red rash or small blisters.
3. Location: neonatal eczema appears in the face, may also appear in the limbs, hands and feet, the more serious may also appear in the trunk. Neonatal eczema is more common on the face and trunk, and less common on the limbs.
4. Treatment: Eczema is mainly treated with anti-allergy therapy. Heat rash is mainly relieved by lowering the environmental temperature and localized care.
If eczema or heat rash occurs in newborns, it is recommended to go to the hospital in time for treatment.
