Can a fallopian tube be reconnected after it’s been removed?

The fallopian tubes are usually not reconnected after removal. Removal means that the tubal tissue no longer exists and there is no new tissue to reconnect with.

In most cases, the fallopian tubes are removed because of ectopic pregnancies, i.e., ectopic pregnancies where one or both fallopian tubes are removed and the original tubal tissue is no longer suitable for retention, so the tubes are removed and destroyed, and then discarded or abandoned, and no longer exist in the abdominal cavity, so there is no way to reconnect them back.

Therefore, it is not possible to reconnect the fallopian tubes after removal. If one fallopian tube is removed and the other is normal, pregnancy is still possible although the chance of pregnancy is reduced; however, if both fallopian tubes are removed, it is impossible to conceive naturally, and pregnancy can be carried out through new techniques such as IVF.
