Effectiveness of Ocitinib

Ositinib is a targeted agent for lung cancer and is indicated for the treatment of adult patients with locally advanced or metastatic non-small cell lung cancer who have experienced disease progression on and after prior treatment with an epidermal growth factor receptor tyrosine kinase inhibitor and who have been tested and confirmed to have a positive EGFRT790m mutation. Ositinib is a kinase inhibitor of the epidermal growth factor receptor EGFR that binds irreversibly to certain mutants of EGFR at approximately 9-fold lower concentrations than wild-type. Ositinib has antitumor effects in non-small cell lung cancer cell lines harboring EGFR mutations and weak antitumor activity against wild-type EGFR gene amplification. At clinical concentrations, ositinib inhibited the activity of HER2 , HER3, HER4, ACK1 and BLK.
