What strength tacrolimus ointment to use on the face

The “face” is the face, and tacrolimus ointment can be used on the face in both 0.03% and 0.1% strengths. Adults can use both strengths, but the 0.03% strength is only suitable for children between the ages of 2 and 15 years. 1. Tacrolimus ointment is mainly indicated for the treatment of moderate to severe atopic dermatitis, either as a short-term or intermittent long-term treatment. The drug is available in two sizes, 0.03% and 0.1%. For adults both concentrations can be used, while for children between 2 and 15 years of age, a concentration of 0.03% is recommended. 2. Some patients may experience adverse reactions such as burning sensation of the skin, itching, flu-like symptoms, allergic reactions, skin erythema, headache, skin infections, and fever when using the drug. It is contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to tacrolimus or any other ingredient in the preparation, during pregnancy, lactation, and in children under 2 years of age. When using the drug, be careful not to receive ultraviolet light treatment, as well as to avoid sun exposure and not to apply it continuously for a long period of time. If there is a need to use tacrolimus on the face, it is recommended to go to a regular hospital in time, under the guidance of a doctor.
