Will it be okay to be scraped by the family dog’s teeth

Whether it is okay to be scraped by the family dog teeth, need to be analyzed on a case-by-case basis. If there is no break after being scraped and the skin is intact, there is generally no serious harm after disinfection. However, if there is a wound, or even bleeding, even if the domestic dog is strictly vaccinated on a daily basis, the possibility of it carrying the rabies virus cannot be ruled out. If the rabies virus enters the body through the break, the patient has the possibility of rabies infection. Since there is no better treatment for rabies, the onset of the disease can be life-threatening. Therefore, patients need to be vaccinated against rabies within 24 hours, and if the face is scratched, it is recommended that immunoglobulin be administered at the same time. It is recommended that if a patient is accidentally scraped by a domestic dog’s teeth, the affected area can be rinsed with water, then disinfected with iodophor or medical alcohol, or washed directly with soap and water, then covered with sterile gauze, and then vaccinated at an immunization station, depending on the situation.
