Introduction of Lung Cancer Specialized Clinic
Lung cancer is one of the most common malignant tumors, and its incidence has been on the rise in recent years in China.
Clinical lung cancer is mostly found to be late stage and requires comprehensive treatment with multiple therapies including surgery, radiotherapy and Chinese medicine; with the increase of early lung cancer detected by physical examination in recent years, the proportion of early surgery for lung cancer has increased accordingly, and the combination of postoperative treatment including Chinese medicine has also significantly improved the survival quality or survival time of lung cancer patients. In many different stages of lung cancer treatment, TCM treatment has played an active role.
Individualized TCM evidence-based treatment: applying traditional TCM’s yin and yang, five elements, eight syllabuses, four diagnoses, physical identification and evidence-based treatment, individualized treatment plan is formulated, including the application of the following treatments.
2.1 Support the correct qi.
Deficiency of Qi and Yin: Sheng Wei Wei Wei, Ginseng Nourishing Glory Tang, Bai He Gu Jin Tang; or mature medicine: Sheng Wei Wei capsule, Ginseng and Mai injection
Deficiency of qi and blood: Ginseng Spleen Soup, Angelica Blood Tonic Soup, or the Chinese medicine: Ginseng Spleen Pill
Lung and kidney yin deficiency: Sha Shen Mai Dong Tang, Liou Wei Di Huang Tang; or ready-made medicine: Liou Wei Di Huang Wan, Zhi Bai Di Huang Wan
Deficiency of spleen and kidney yang: Radix Rehmanniae, Zenmu Tang, or the finished medicine: Radix Rehmanniae Pill
2.2 Removal of evil stasis.
Promoting qi and activating blood circulation: Tao Hong Si Wu Tang
Strengthening the spleen and resolving phlegm: Cleansing Phlegm Tang, Jinshui Liujun Decoction, Huanglian Wenzhi Tang; or the finished medicine: Expectorant Cough Granules
Nourishing Yin and clearing heat: Sha Shen Mai Dong Tang combined with Five Flavors Sterilizing Drink
2.3 Support the righteous and dispel the evil, taking both into account.
Commonly used Chinese patent medicines include: Kanglaite injection: Job’s tear extract; Kangai injection: Astragalus, ginseng, bitter ginseng; Aidi injection: ginseng, astragalus, acanthopanax, zebrano; compound zebrano capsule, Aegui capsule, rhinoceros yellow pill, Pingxiao capsule, etc.
2.4 Other therapies.
Acupuncture and moxibustion: for Qi stagnation and blood stasis, phlegm and dampness internal obstruction, Yin deficiency and poisonous heat, Qi and Yin two deficiency evidence type
Qigong: mainly through the adjustment of breath squatting body, stretching limbs, lifting and lowering breathing has been achieved to dredge the meridians, smooth the flow of qi and blood, regulate the mood.
Acupuncture point injection: injection of fishy grass injection at the bilateral Kong most points to treat hemoptysis; injection of Ixianshu injection at the double foot sanli points and double lung Yu points to treat chest pain.
