Most lymphangioleiomas can be cured. Most of the giant cystic lymphangioleiomas can be completely removed because of clear borders, and a small number of lymphatic tissues that cannot be removed cleanly can be cured by local injection of sclerosing agents. However, for some lymphangioleiomas with diffuse growth and extensive involvement, none of the above treatment methods can completely remove the lymphangioleioma tissue. It is not necessary to require complete removal in such cases, as complete removal would most likely result in serious negative injury. Lymphangioleioma is a benign lesion that has no effect on the body until it grows to a certain size and produces pressure symptoms.
